At Starved Rock Wood Products you’ll find a different kind of wood manufacturer.

When you combine time-honored artisanal techniques with the latest technology something remarkable happens. It becomes possible to deliver the highest quality customized products at much more affordable prices.

The details matter. We create kitchen cabinetry, millwork, staircases and custom projects that are built to last. This means taking care over the little things that most people might never see.  But we do. For example, do we need to spend the extra time and care on making traditional blind dado joints when there are other, cheaper approaches that are more or less as good? Probably not. But then ‘more or less’ isn’t what we do – or what you want.

At heart we remain a small-town business with small-town values. When you know most of your customers personally you take extra care with your reputation.

Choosing your kitchen is one of the most important decisions you will make in your home. We know the process can be full of anxiety. Basic materials, design, construction and installation all have to be just right if your kitchen is going to work the way you want. That’s why we decided from the start to stay involved at every stage of the process. No finger pointing, no excuses—we take responsibility for seeing the project through, so you don’t need to worry.

Several years ago we also took the decision to use only water-based finishes on all our products, rather than chemical finishes which were more common in the industry. That’s better for the environment and better for your family.
