Starved Rock Wood Products was founded in 1994, in the small Illinois town of Mendota. Our guiding principle was that everyone deserves the highest quality and craftsmanship, whatever their budget.
Three decades later, the company has grown significantly, but our 130+ team of craftsmen, designers, engineers, sales coordinator and installers, still hold true to that original belief.
The Starved Rock Wood Products Difference
First, we manufacture all our products from scratch, in our production facility in the small town of Mendota, IL. And we only use sustainable wood sourced from the USA.
Unlike many cabinet manufacturers, we handle the entire process; from forest to home. Our teams of designers, software experts, craftsmen and women, delivery drivers and installers means the process goes more smoothly, with one point of contact and accountability. And that’s how we like it!
Our factory combines time-honored craftsmanship with state-of-the-art, high precision technology. This allows us to create and build high quality customized products extremely efficiently, which means we can price our cabinets more competitively.
Our cabinets are built to last. We understand that the kitchen is the hub of the home. As such, it has to withstand the wear and tear of daily life. That’s why our cabinets are not just built to look good, but built to function exceptionally well - not just when they are first installed, but for the duration. We back this up with a unique lifetime warranty*.
We love working with wood. We recognize it’s a finite resource, which is why for many years we have paid close attention to our responsibility towards the environment. In addition to our sustainable wood sourcing, we also partner with One Tree Planted, so that more trees are being planted for every kitchen we sell. All our products are given water-based finishes, which is kinder to the environment and to your home. And our paint recycling system makes sure any excess paint used in the process is captured and re-used, rather than going down the drains.
Our small town roots. As part of the CLE Group of Companies, Starved Rock Wood Products began in the small town of Mendota IL., creating jobs for the local community. Even as our business grows and we enter new markets, we remain at heart a small-town company with small-town values. When you know most of your customers personally, you take extra care with your reputation.
